First boat outing in 2011

My boat still needs repair, so we headed out in Thile's boat. The objective was to 1. just get out on the water, 2. test some new prototypes. 3. hopefully get some fish. I made some of my "old" crank models in poplar, to see how they ran. The lips Ive been using are not available anymore, so I had to try out some new ones. To my relief the cranks ran great with the new lips also. I was afraid that I had to do all the "research" again, since the new lips were smaller.

The fish was not cooperative, Thile managed 2 small ones, but it was still a great day on the water.
