Outing...

Went out yesterday. At the entrance of a spawning area, I got a tick in the line, and set the hook, bottom! or was it. I could reel it in, but it was no fish. After a short "battle" a fishingnet came to the surface. It seemed that it was across the channel, no markers. When I freed my lure, a felt some tugs... I cut my hooks and started to hoist the net in, and sure enough a nice pike was caught in it. I sweared over forgetting my knife, so we decided to pull the net up. After a few metres I couldnt drag it anymore, it was probably stuck in the bottom. Therefor the owner probably just cut the markers. And since we used the boat to drag the net, while I was holding I lost it when the resitance was to hard and it sank, so I couldnt end the poor fish' misery either. We just had to leave it, with a bad taste in my mouth.
